BURDORF’S JOINS FORCES WITH EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION

Donates $50,000 worth of furnishings

Louisville – Burdorf’s Furnishings & Flooring located at, 3939 Shelbyville Rd. Louisville, KY 40207, has agreed to donate a major portion of the furnishings for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that is currently taking place in the Louisville community.

The home makeover began on Friday, October 22, 2010.  The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crew arrived at Burdorfs Furnishing & Flooring on Saturday October 23, 2010 to begin the furniture selection process.  Final selections were made Sunday.  The furniture will be prepared and loaded on the trucks for delivery this Wednesday October 27, 2010, and the home will be revealed to the family the following day, Thursday October 28, 2010.

“We at Burdorf’s are extremely proud to be the official furniture sponsor to the local edition of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  We are happy for the opportunity to give back to the community and the deserving Lampe family,” said Velma Watkins, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Burdorfs Furnishings & Flooring.

The Lampe family is the deserving family who is receiving this wonderful gift.  The house is located just outside of Louisville in Fairdale, Kentucky.  Workers and volunteers are working 24 hours a day to complete the house on time.

The Emmy award winning reality program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” now in its 8th season, is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. It is executive-produced by Brady Connell and George Verschoor. David Goldberg is Chairman, Endemol North America. The show airs Sundays from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET on ABC.
